The Ice House America Ice House is a 200 sq foot modular building that produces, stores,
bags and vends ice to the consumer.
Everyone is familiar with the present system of purchasing ice at grocery or convenience
stores. You've probably experienced it yourself: collect your bag, stand in line to pay, and at
some point bang the ice on a hard surface to break it into useable pieces. No More! The ice
produced in the Ice House America Ice House is in chipped form and does not freeze together.
It is available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. And in most areas it is priced at about ½ the
price of other ice products.
The Ice House modular building meets all applicable building codes for each state in which
it is placed. This includes withstanding 150 mile per hour winds.
How it Works
The Ice House produces and delivers ice to customers utilizing a vending concept.
The Ice House is capable of producing and delivering over 500 sixteen pound bags of ice
per day! Throughout this process the ice is never touched by human hands.
- The Ice House is equipped with a sales counter that tracks the amount of cash deposits.
- If a problem occurs the system will automatically telephone the owner or maintenance
technician and notify them of the problem.
Food Safety
Ice House America believes that their ice is the cleanest, safest ice on the market today.
Ice World Journal reports that according to the CDC (Center for Disease Control)

- All materials that come in contact with our ice during production are made of 100% food
grade stainless steel. - Once produced the ice is stored in a self contained food grade stainless steel bin.
- After the consumer deposits his/her money, ice is mechaically dropped into a chute,
bagged and deliver to the customer in about 8 seconds.
- Standards for routine cleaning of the ice plant itself.
- Standards for routine cleaning of the ice maker.
- Standards for sanitizing the ice bin.
- Boil water recall procedures in case of a threat to the public water system.
All Ice Houses are subject to the standards of the applicable government food and safety regulatory agencies in their respected state and communities. SSOP's call for quarterly testing of the finished product.
